Job description

We are looking for a polished, professional Security Host to join our team. Unlike a traditional bouncer, you are the first and last point of contact for our guests. You will maintain a safe, upscale environment while providing the “white-glove” service expected of a premier dining and lounge destination.

Key Responsibilities

• Guest Relations: Greet guests warmly; enforce the dress code and house policies with tact and professionalism.
• Access Control: Verify government‑issued IDs using scanning technology to ensure all lounge patrons are 21+.
• Floor Management: Monitor the dining room and bar areas to identify and discreetly de‑escalate potential conflicts or over‑intoxication.
• Safety & Compliance: Maintain clear exit paths, monitor room capacity, and assist with emergency procedures.
• Team Support: Work closely with the hosting and bar staff to manage guest flow and “cutoff” procedures.

Requirements

• Experience: 2+ years in security or hospitality (high‑end nightlife or fine dining preferred).
• Certification: Must possess a valid New Jersey SORA (Security Officer Registration Act) license.
• Demeanor: Exceptional communication and de‑escalation skills; ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Physical: Ability to stand for long periods (6–8 hours) and lift/move up to 50 lbs if necessary.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with NJ liquor laws and “TIPS” or “ServSafe Alcohol” training is a plus.
