Job summary

Allied Universal, Milwaukee, seeks a Part Time Security Officer for weekend shifts to patrol campus facilities, greet students and staff, and respond to alarms. You will uphold site policies, document incidents, and coordinate with campus leadership to maintain a safe environment.

The position offers Sat/Sun 7:00 AM–2:00 PM shifts at $19.00/hour, with opportunities to learn our shift-claim platform, grow professionally, and access a benefits program.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and guests per procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular campus patrols of buildings, yards, parking areas, and perimeters.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly; document observations and communicate with campus contacts and leadership.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures.
• Maintain a welcoming, professional presence and assist with directions and inquiries.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, studios, classrooms, residence-related areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and communicate relevant information to appropriate campus contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and report suspicious persons, conditions, or activities.
• Support a welcoming educational environment by providing directions, answering general questions, and maintaining a professional presence throughout assigned areas.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
