Job summary

Stony Brook Southampton Hospital is seeking a vigilant Security Officer to provide safety for patients, visitors, and staff. Responsibilities include investigating incidents, and supporting courier, valet, fire safety, and emergency management teams on a per diem basis.

The role requires a high school diploma, NYS Security Guard and driver's licenses, and current BLS, CPI, Four Point Restraint, and First Aid certifications. Travel to other locations may be required to meet operational needs.

As part of employment at Southampton Hospital, there may be occasions when travel to other locations is needed to support operational needs.

Anticipated Pay Range

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established based on relevant experience.

Prior to start date, the selected candidate must meet the following requirements:

• Successfully complete pre-employment physical examination and obtain medical clearance from Stony Brook Southampton Hospital’s Employee Health Services*
• Complete electronic reference check with a minimum of three (3) professional references.
• Successfully complete a 4 panel drug screen*
• Meet Regulatory Requirements for pre-employment screenings.
• Provide a copy of any required New York State license(s)/certificate(s).

Failure to comply with any of the above requirements could result in a delayed start date and/or revocation of the employment offer.

• The hiring department will be responsible for any fee incurred for examination.
