Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a full-time security professional to join our team in Wilmington, NC. You will protect patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by following site procedures, performing patrols, and responding to incidents at healthcare facilities.

This evening shift role pays $22.66 per hour and includes benefits and opportunities for career growth. You will report suspicious activity, document incidents, and work with site leadership to maintain a safe, welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts, and report suspicious activity to site leadership.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports and patrol logs as required.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts as assigned, and report suspicious activity or security-related concerns to site leadership.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
