Job summary

Allied Universal’s Winchester, VA location seeks a Security Guard Patrol to monitor and protect a logistics and distribution site. You will provide customer service, deter unauthorized activity, and maintain a visible presence to ensure safety and order.

The role is unarmed, full-time, with a consistent day-evening shift pattern. Candidates should be 18+ with a HS diploma, able to pass background checks and drug screening, and comfortable using a computer or tablet.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• There are limited on-site facilities at this site.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories per law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents calmly and escalate according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of warehouse areas, docks, parking areas, trailer yards and perimeter.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and maintain logs and reports.
• Observe and report unusual conditions or operational concerns to appropriate personnel.

As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, trailer yards, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor, contractor, and delivery credentials, and maintain accurate logs and reports of security-related activities.
• Observe and report unusual conditions, damaged property, or operational concerns that may affect the location, and communicate findings to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• At this site, there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
