  • Provide safety and security to all patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Investigate and document all security incidents.
  • Assist with courier, valet, fire safety teams, and emergency management service.
  • Be able to support all functions in the Security Department.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Valid New York State Armed Guard License.
  • Valid New York State Carry Permit.
  • Valid New York State Driver License.
  • Prior law enforcement, EMS/security/ fire safety experience preferred.
  • Strong Computer skills (Word & Excel).

Prior to start date, the selected candidate must meet the following requirements:

  • Successfully complete pre-employment physical examination and obtain medical clearance from Stony Brook Southampton's Employee Health Services*
  • Successfully complete a 4-panel drug screen*
  • Meet Regulatory Requirements for pre-employment screenings.
  • Provide a copy of any required New York State license(s)/certificate(s).

Failure to comply with any of the above requirements could result in a delayed start date and/or revocation of the employment offer.

  • The Human Resources department will be responsible for any fee incurred for examination .
