Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an unarmed Security Guard at our Tempe, AZ site. You will patrol premises, provide courteous service to employees and visitors, and deter incidents with a visible presence.

This is a full-time role requiring a valid driver’s license for driving positions and adherence to site policies. We offer a $20.00 per hour pay rate, plus ongoing training opportunities, career growth, and access to Allied Universal benefits.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Valid driver’s license required for Allied Universal driver policy.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as per federal/state/local laws.
• Drug screen required as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

This driving position requires a valid driver's license. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, helping to maintain orderly entry and exit processes.
• Prepare accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
