Job summary

AAR Aircaft Services - Miami, Inc. in Florida seeks a Security Guard (Temp-to-Hire) to monitor the facility and control access for visitors, guests and employees. The guard will manage main gate operations, verify IDs, and coordinate with patrol guards to safeguard the site.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Approve access to visitors, guests and employees at main gate.
• Sign in deliveries and notify patrol guard before access to Shipping/Receiving area.
• Monitor east parking lot and on-base parking areas.
• Request proper picture ID from visitors and issue leasehold badges.
• Monitor badge reader inside gatehouse for employee access.
• Check toolbox when new employees bring tools.
• Patrol and manage parking areas outside facility and enforce designated parking.
• Be present at turnstiles during shift changes and breaks, and during entries/exits.
• Patrol the hangar area and ensure doors are locked after hours.

SUMMARYThe Security Guard is responsible for monitoring the facility and approving access to visitors, guests and employees who need to enter the building.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Main Gate Guards

• Responsible for approving access to visitors, guests and employees who need to enter through main gate.
• Responsible for signing in deliveries, then notifying the patrol guard before allowing access into the Shipping/Receiving area
• Responsible for monitoring access to east parking lot and on base parking area.
• Responsible for requesting a proper picture ID when a visitor comes to the main gate.
• Responsible for issuing leasehold badges from the main gate.
• Responsible for monitoring the badge reader inside the gatehouse for employees to gain access into the facility.
• Responsible for checking toolbox when a new employee brings in their tools

Patrol Post Guards

• Responsible for all parking areas outside the facility.
• Responsible for making sure all vehicles are parked in a designated area and not alongside the fence area.
• Responsible for the Shipping/Receiving areas at all times when gate is opening or closing.
• Responsible for being present at the turnstiles during shift change, during all breaks and at any time employees are exiting/entering the facility.
• Responsible for patrolling the 2nd floor after hours checking that all doors are locked.
• Responsible for patrolling the east.

AOA Guards

• Responsible for controlling access and traffic in the hangar.
• Responsible for patrolling the east/west side of the building riding golf cart.
• Responsible for challenging any persons or vehicles entering hangar area and must ask to see ID.
• Responsible for logging in all deliveries and visitors who enter/exit hangar area.
• Responsible for ensuring that all employees or visitors have an MIA badge or leasehold before crossing over the red line located on the ground in front of each hangar door.

Applies to All Guards:Records her/his work time worked as directed by her/his supervisor.Complies with all AAR Aircaft Services - Miami, Inc. policies and procedures which apply to her/him. Complies with all safety procedures which apply to him/her.Keeps him/herself informed of such policies and procedures and asks his/her supervisor for explanations of anything which he/she does not fully understand.Takes those prudent actions appropriate to the preservation of Company and/or customer assets, whether in monetary or other form.Attends work-related training as scheduled.Performs such other tasks as may be reasonably assigned by her/his supervisor.All other duties as assigned.
