Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Operations Center Operator. The SOC is the central hub which manages security and safety at client facilities.

You will provide outstanding customer service while following all procedures to achieve excellent outcomes. The Security Operations Center is staffed 24/7, monitoring all security, communications, and fire/life safety systems and serving as the liaison between safety and security departments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license is required if driving a company or customer owned vehicle.
• Experience in PSAP/911 or security dispatch is a plus.
• Strong data entry skills and ability to monitor multiple software programs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security, communications, and fire/life safety systems.
• Respond to events via phones, radios, and intercoms.
• Document routine and unusual events at facilities.
• Make emergency notifications as required by policy.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and CCTV viewers; respond to alarms.

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Operations Center Operator. The Security Operations Center (SOC) is the centralized hub which manages the security and safety issues at our client's facilities. The Security Operations Center Operator provides outstanding customer service to all calling parties while being firm following all processes in place to achieve excellent outcomes.

The Security Operations Center is staffed twenty-four (24) hours per day, seven (7) days per week. The position monitors all security, communications, and fire/life safety systems and is the liaison between safety and security departments.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor all security, communications, and fire/life safety systems via provided monitoring systems
• Answer and respond to events and situations received over regular and emergency phones, 2-way radios, and intercoms.
• Accurately document routine and unusual events occurring on or near the facilities
• Make emergency notifications necessary pursuant to policies and procedures
• Proactively monitor all surveillance cameras and CCTV remote viewer programs; monitor and respond to all security/life safety system alarms
• Answer and respond to events and situations received over regular and emergency phones and intercoms; speak clearly, give direction, and provide guidance to employees and security staff during emergencies and non-emergency calls
• Serve as the liaison between all departments and the security department
• Handle (without delay) complaints and unusual/critical event information as directed by procedures

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license if driving a company or customer owned vehicle
• Must possess one or more of the following:
  • Military service
  • POST Certified law enforcement experience
  • Minimum of two (2) years of work experience in public sector dispatch or emergency operations center (PSAP, 911)
  • Minimum of two (2) years of verifiable data entry experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years of verifiable private/corporate security experience
• Advanced computer skills and proficiency; proficiency with Google Applications; able to monitor and/or utilize multiple software programs at once
• Ability to quickly and efficiently analyze high stress situations to determine the proper communication of events and to dispatch the proper teams to determine the best course of action to take
• Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment while possibly working under pressure
• Ability to prioritize workload based on urgency
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; able to communicate efficiently elevated stressful situations
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; able to multitask efficiently
• Demonstrated analytic and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Able to type 40+ words per minute with high level of accuracy
• Able to work flexible schedules

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) in the law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighter field
• Eight (8) or more years of active service in any military branch
• Heavy Customer Service Background - we are looking for highly motivated people who are dedicated to providing outstanding customer service to our client, our employees, guests and visitors
