Temple University Health System, Inc. is seeking a Security Guard - Rover/Trainer to ensure the safety and security of the center's patients, employees, and visitors. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring the premises, enforcing policies, and providing training to new officers, making it crucial that the individual has relevant experience in security and customer service.

SECURITY GUARD - ROVER/TRAINER - ( 252990 )
Responsible for the safety and security of the Center's patients, employees and visitors. Prevents or detects and reports fire, theft, vandalism and/or illegal entry. Greets patients, visitors, and staff as they enter/exit the Center. Enforces visitation policies as appropriate. Acts as a deterrent to those inappropriately attempting to enter Center. Conducts periodic rounding of all areas to ensure facility is secured as required. Works closely with facilities to ensure down elevators and other systems are reported when found inoperable. Provides training to all new officers and coordinates that training with the Operations Security Supervisor and the Security Supervisor as appropriate. Coordinates with medical staff when needed to de-escalate visitor or patient incidents. Working knowledge of all internal alarm systems. Monthly testing of all Panic alarms and ensure documentation is completed. Works closely with the PA Dept of Corrections when forensic patients receive treatment and ensures Patient in Custody briefing is provided to their officers.
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
Experience
5 Years experience in security/law enforcement/public safety/military (Required)
3 Years experience in customer service/training (Preferred)
License/Certifications
DRIVER - Drivers License (Required)
