Position Summary
Ensure the well-being of staff, members, and guests who enter the Club property. Confirm all staff, members, and guests that arrive and have a need to be at the Club. Ensure security systems and procedures are properly used to protect and secure Club property and assets.
Position Responsibilities
- Greet all members and guests entering and exiting the Club.
- Turn away intruders or anyone who does not have official business with the club.
- Screen all inbound traffic to Club property (vehicle and pedestrian). Record license plate number, vehicle type and color, visiting member's name, and arrival time on log sheet.
- Check personal bags of all caddies for objects not allowed per Club rules.
- Direct all deliveries, member guests, and visitors to proper locations within the Club, and notify the appropriate personnel of their arrival.
- Handle incoming calls regarding security and safety via radio or telephone.
- Ensure the safekeeping of the Club property inside and outside the Clubhouse.
- Report any incidents via Incident Report to the Security Supervisor.
- Report maintenance issues immediately to the supervisor for further reporting to Engineering.
Additional Duties
- Complete written reports, personal logs, recording incidents or occurrences during a shift.
- Assist in special investigations as requested by management.
- Coordinate vehicle parking during special occasions.
- Record employees arriving by bus or carpool.
- Inform improperly dressed persons of appropriate attire.
- Liaise with law enforcement agencies during investigations.
- Exchange shift information concerning safety, security, and other pertinent issues.
- Monitor all communications, including emails and passdown books.
- Conduct perimeter checks, including the Clubhouse, gates, and parking lots.
- Document incidents such as accidents, injuries, or significant events.
- Understand alarm systems and protocols thoroughly.
- Respond to emergencies as the First Responder.
- Work with law enforcement and security personnel during special events.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Customer service oriented with good communication skills.
- Ability to follow rules and enforce them professionally.
- Remain composed in various situations.
- Attentive to details and a team player.
- Valid Driver’s License and Guard Card required.
- First Aid and CPR certifications are encouraged but not mandatory.
- No recent dishonorable military discharges, fugitive status, drug abuse, or criminal convictions related to theft, assault, or criminal mischief within the last five years.
Education & Experience
- Must be at least 18 years old, high school graduate or equivalent (GED or California High School Proficiency Examination).
- Minimum of 1 year related work experience.
