Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer in EL SEGUNDO, CA to monitor and patrol facilities, provide customer service, and deter security incidents. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and support a safe, welcoming environment.

This role emphasizes flexible scheduling, a strong safety mindset, and adherence to site procedures. Prior security experience is valued, as are CPR/First Aid, a guard card, and a high school diploma; background checks

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of business areas, exterior grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting activities as required.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports related to patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns.
