Job summary

Allied Universal in San Jose, CA is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed) to patrol a busy food and beverage marketplace, deter incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service to visitors, vendors, and tenants.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to work Saturdays and Sundays. CPR/First Aid and guard-card are preferred; background checks and drug screening will be conducted.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to visitors, vendors, and tenants by carrying out security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols to deter unauthorized activity and identify concerns.
• Monitor access points and report hazards or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents calmly and coordinate with site contacts.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and communicate with leadership.

• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of vendor areas, entrances, parking lots, perimeter locations, and common areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and crowd activity, assist with traffic and parking flow as directed, and report unusual conditions, hazards, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting emergency services and/or site contacts when appropriate.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and maintain clear communication with Allied Universal leadership, site representatives, visitors, and vendors.

A valid driver's license is required for this driving position. Deliver exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity, reliability, teamwork, and care.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
