Job summary

Allied Universal®, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a part-time unarmed Security Officer in Houston, TX. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, provide excellent customer service, and respond professionally to site needs while maintaining a visible presence.

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required by Allied Universal.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and perimeter to identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials, and maintain logs and documentation.
• Report maintenance concerns and security-related incidents promptly to the appropriate personnel.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to site needs. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with visitors and team members, and support a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, and a caring, reliable approach.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM
• Sun 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, production areas, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site policy, and maintain required logs and documentation.
• Report maintenance concerns, access-control issues, and security-related incidents promptly to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
