Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed security guard in Tampa, FL to safeguard clients across Retail/Malls and other sites. You will patrol, deter incidents, assist customers and staff, and communicate with your team.

The role offers flexible day/evening shifts, a $17.00 hourly pay, and opportunities to grow with our Shift-claim platform. Qualified candidates will meet minimum requirements including age, HS diploma, background check, and drug screen.

Qualifications

You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, assist customers and store personnel, and communicate clearly with your team. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to shoppers, employees, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, retail location policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, suspected theft, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the store, entrances, parking areas, and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe activity within the location, and report unusual conditions, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate relevant security-related information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
