Job summary

Allied Universal in Arlington, VA seeks a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced to provide dependable, flexible hours including fixed anchor shifts and the option to pick up extra shifts. • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a corporate technology location by carrying out site specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of corporate offices, common areas, parking facilities, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and support adherence to established entry and escort procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities accurately in required reports and logs.

As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Alarm Monitoring in Arlington, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSun11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part time hours this week and full time the next. It s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
