Allied Universal in Whitsett, NC is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer to monitor and safeguard clients across tech/telecom sites. You will provide customer service, maintain a visible security presence, and use tablet tools to report incidents and activities.

The role offers flexible daytime and evening shifts with a pay rate of $16.48 per hour. Prior security or customer service experience is preferred, and a high school diploma is required with background and drug screenings.

• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials, and report access-control concerns per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating as needed.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoffs while maintaining a professional presence.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
