Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time, Unarmed Security Officer in Whitsett, NC to monitor and safeguard clients across a technology site. You will provide customer service, ensure secure access, and maintain a welcoming environment for employees and visitors while performing patrols and reporting activities.

The role emphasizes professional communication, use of tablets/computers, and flexibility through our Shift-Claim platform.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screening may be required by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology location by carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, common spaces, parking areas, and facility perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and report access-control concerns per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and alarms in a calm, professional manner, escalating to appropriate personnel and emergency responders when needed.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoffs while maintaining a professional presence.

Pay Rate: $16.48 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Fri 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and report access-control concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate personnel and emergency responders when needed.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoffs while maintaining a professional presence and supporting a positive workplace environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
