Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer in Lockbourne, OH to patrol manufacturing and industrial locations, provide exceptional customer service, and monitor access points. You will perform routine patrols, document incidents, and escalate emergencies as needed.

The role emphasizes flexibility with a shift-based schedule and opportunities to engage with the company’s shift-claim platform. A high school diploma and background check are required by law where applicable.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted as required by law.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories as allowed by law.
• A drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a manufacturing and industrial location by carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular patrols of production areas, warehouses, shipping/receiving areas, parking lots, and the facility perimeter to identify unusual activity and hazards.
• Monitor access points and support visitor, contractor, and vehicle entry procedures per site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and notify site contacts and responders as needed.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities in required reports.

Pay Rate: $19.07 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur 08:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Fri 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a manufacturing and industrial location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouse spaces, shipping and receiving areas, parking lots, and the facility perimeter to help identify unusual activity and potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and support visitor, contractor, and vehicle entry procedures in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and completely in required reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
