Overview

Melaleuca has an immediate opening for a Weekend Part-time Security Guard to ensure a secure, safe, and non-violent environment for all associates and properties. The position is located in Kansas City, Missouri, on a Non-Smoking Campus.

Shift available:

1st shift – Saturdays & Sundays 7am-3:30pm

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections ensuring the building is secure.
• Oversee associate traffic at entrances.
• Review associate listings to stay familiar with personnel.
• Represent Melaleuca professionally to vendors, associates, and management.
• Handle personal property appropriately.
• Distribute keys only to authorized personnel.
• Report hazards immediately.
• Receive and deliver packages from carriers.
• Maintain knowledge of policies and procedures.
• Conduct security inspections and report questionable situations.
• Maintain a daily activity log.
• Follow procedures outlined in the S.O.P. manual.

Qualifications

Key characteristics include:

• Ability to work independently
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Stand, sit, or walk for duration of shift
• Work effectively under stress
• Intermittent walking and sitting
• Ability to communicate clearly in person and by phone
• Read reports and screens visually
• Perform duties efficiently and accurately
• Availability to work holidays on this shift
