Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Guard Proactive Patrol in Whitehall, PA. You will protect clients across retail and other sites, maintain a visible security presence, and provide excellent customer service to shoppers and staff.

You will perform patrols, respond to incidents, and help with access control while upholding Allied Universal’s people-first culture and commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and staff by executing security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and concerns calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of retail areas, entrances, and perimeters.
• Monitor for unusual activity and potential hazards; report observations per procedures.

As an Unarmed Security Officer at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for shoppers, tenants, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond professionally to concerns while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with integrity and teamwork.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 01:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat 01:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail areas, common spaces, entrances, loading areas, parking locations, and the property perimeter.
• Monitor for unusual activity, access concerns, and potential hazards; report observations and incidents according to site procedures.
• Assist with access control, visitor directions, and other security-related duties while helping to deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
