Job summary

Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services company, seeks a Part-Time Overnight Weekend Security Officer in New York, NY to protect tenants and properties, deter incidents, and deliver professional customer service. You will patrol unarmed, monitor access, report incidents, and coordinate with on-site staff during Sat and Sun night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or property staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial real estate buildings, common areas, parking facilities, entrances, loading areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally following site procedures.
• Monitor access points and observe activity, documenting and reporting security-related incidents, hazards, and unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly environment by providing directions, supporting visitor management procedures, and communicating with tenants and guests.

Pay Rate: $19.06 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sun 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
