Responsibilities include patrolling, monitoring alarms and cameras, controlling access, responding to incidents, and communicating with team and leadership.

The ideal candidate stays calm under pressure, follows established procedures, and can handle after-hours calls via Emergency Alert System or phone.

• Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.
• Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers; summoning assistance from 911 if necessary.
• Answering calls for assistance from Residents and visitors.
• Secure all exits, doors and windows after end of operations in all campus buildings.
• Check surveillance cameras periodically to identify disruptions or unlawful acts
• Investigate people for suspicious activity or possessions
• Other duties as assigned.
