Summary
The Security Guard II is a position within the security and protective service field. Guards in this classification generally provide security services under limited supervision from a Lead Security Guard.
The Security Guard II can perform fixed-post, mobile, or foot patrols while maintaining situational awareness and making decisions or taking actions consistent with established post orders, facility rules, guidelines, and protocols. Duties may include working in austere and uncomfortable conditions for prolonged periods, including inclement weather, while performing walking, standing, searching, surveillance, or sitting duties essential to security functions.

Access to government facilities is mandatory. Denial or revocation of access may result in termination if minimum qualifications cannot be met.
Supervision
This position operates within established guidelines. Deviations must be approved or immediately reported to a supervisor.
