Archon Protection, Inc. is seeking a Security Guard to ensure the safety of residential communities or commercial facilities in Los Angeles, California. The role involves patrols, incident reporting, and enforcing site rules, with an emphasis on professionalism and situational awareness.

Extensive training will be provided by a Security Supervisor. Local candidates for graveyard shifts are preferred, and the position offers weekly pay and opportunities for advancement within a dedicated security

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old with valid California Guard Card (BSIS).
• Background check through DOJ and FBI required.
• Able to stand or walk for extended periods.
• Flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine foot patrols of the client location.
• Write detailed reports based on observations, incidents, violations, and maintenance issues.
• Enforce community rules and security procedures per client request.
• Secure site amenity areas and parking enforcement.
• Report suspicious activity to authorities in detail.
• Maintain accurate notes of unusual occurrences.
• Protect company property and staff by maintaining a safe environment at all times.
• Perform GPS checks.

Job description

As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of residential communities or commercial facilities.

Responsibilities are subject to change and are not limited or guaranteed to include the following:

• Conducting routine and regular foot patrols of the client location deterring suspicious activity and disturbances.
• Writing detailed reports based on observations, incidents, violations, and maintenance issues.
• Enforcing community or facilities rules and regulations per client request.
• Securing site amenity areas.
• Conducting parking enforcement via parking violation notices and/or towing vehicles.
• Performing GPS checks.
• Take accurate and thorough notes of any unusual occurrences.
• Reporting in detail any suspicious incidents to the appropriate authorities.
• Protecting the company’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment at all times.

This role requires high attention to detail, professionalism, and a commitment to upholding safety protocols.

Extensive training will be provided by a Security Supervisor.

Pay Range:

$18.50 per hour to $20 per hour

Schedule requires Graveyard shifts.

Basic Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old (BPC Section 7582.8)
• Possess a High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must possess or be willing to obtain a valid California Guard Card issued by the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS).
• Undergo a criminal history background check through the California Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) (BPC Sections 7581 and 7583.9)
• Basic reading, writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Must be physically fit, able to stand or walk for extended periods.
• Must be available to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong attention to detail and situational awareness. Good judgement and problem-solving skills. Professional demeanor and appearance. Reliable and punctual.

• Basic smart phone knowledge.
