Job summary

Allied Universal in Alpharetta, GA is seeking a Security Guard to perform full-time patrols of a technology-focused location, monitor access points, and deter security incidents. You will deliver professional customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while following site procedures and maintaining logs of activities.

The role requires at least three years in security or related fields, comfort with computer use, and preferred alarm panel and badge/access control experience.

Qualifications

• Three years of security-related, law enforcement, military police, or military experience.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience preferred.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen as required by law.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points and alarm activity, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Fri: 06:30 AM - 06:30 PM
• Sat: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Sun: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the technology-focused location, including business areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report unusual activity or policy violations.
• Prepare clear, timely reports and maintain accurate logs of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least three years of security-related, law enforcement, military police, or military experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Have alarm panel experience, preferred.
• Have access control and/or badge experience, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
