Job summary

Allied Universal in San Francisco, CA is seeking a Front Desk Security Guard for a full-time daytime shift. You will greet visitors, verify IDs, manage access, monitor entry points and respond to security incidents with calm, professional service.

You will provide excellent customer service in a technology-driven environment, keep logs, support a welcoming lobby, and coordinate with site contacts and emergency services as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles or 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check required by federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply; driver’s license for driving roles.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a front desk within a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Greet and screen visitors, verify identification and access authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and contractor logs.
• Monitor access points, cameras, alarms, and communications systems; report suspicious activity, access concerns, and maintenance issues according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Answer phones, provide directions and general information, receive deliveries, and support a professional, welcoming lobby environment.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
