As a Security Guard Full Time Armed Perimeter Patrol Driver in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a critical utilities location. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor assigned areas, respond to security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service. Pay Rate: $18.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Thur 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Fri 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sat 09:30 PM - 05:30 AM
• Sun 09:30 PM - 05:30 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, substations, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as assigned, and document visitor, contractor, vehicle, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and prepare accurate reports.
• Carry and maintain authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
