A leading company in event management seeks a Security Guard for full-time first shift in Oklahoma City. The role involves monitoring venue security, assisting guests, and ensuring safety during events. Security Guard - Full Time - 1st Shift page is loaded
Provide a variety of administrative and operational support to guest, security, and the entire OKCCC team. Monitor key access areas and assist with large flow of traffic. Check in and organize site tours for upcoming events/ possible clients. Assist Security personnel with any necessary task/ needs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Monitor CCTV Cameras of lobby areas and entry ways.
Maintain a strong presence in lobby areas. Handle any disturbances or problems that arise during event or at the facility. If necessary, escort disruptive individual(s) to security office and/or off the premises.
Tour facility, examining doors, windows and gates to ensure they are secure.
Respond immediately to emergency situations -- answer alarms and investigate
Assist departments when handling large sums of high valued items
Perform basic information desk ambassador duties and responsibilities during both non- event/event hours.
Provide routine information regarding event operations, policies, and procedures, etc. using event overviews, weekly event meeting notes and other sources of pertinent information.
Organize and check in all site tours and site tour calender invites.
Help guide and control attendee/ guest movements throughout the facility.
Distribute wristbands and credentials to all contractors, guest, and employees.
Has a neat, professional appearance and comes to work in complete and clean assigned uniform.
Comes to work; is on time and completes shift assignments (including overtime, if needed)
Be courteous, respectful and responsive to the general public, customers and clients.
Project positive and confident professional attitude
Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Must be 18 years of age
Prefer previous experience in a security role
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
CLEET certification within six months of hire
Be licensed and insured to operate a motor vehicle in the United States
Skills and Abilities
Must possess excellent customer service.
Effectively follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form.
Ability to type accurately at a proficient speed.
Organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
Work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule and produce accurate results.
Maintain an effective working relationship with clients, patrons, employees, city offices and other encountered in the course of employment.

Computer Skills
Operate a personal computer using Windows and Microsoft Office software with strong Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills.
Operate standard office equipment including phone, copier, scanner, postage and fax machines.
