Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Fort Wayne, IN. The role provides flexible, reliable hours with the potential to pick up additional shifts.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or vendors.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior spaces, exterior areas, access points, parking areas, and the business perimeter.
• Monitor access control points and visitor activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and communicate with site contacts.
• Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and shift documentation.

As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol in Fort Wayne, IN, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.75 / Hour

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior spaces, exterior areas, access points, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
• Monitor access control points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, helping to maintain an orderly environment for employees, guests, and deliveries.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and shift documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
