An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to ensure a safe environment within a hospital setting. This role involves monitoring premises, responding to alarms, and writing reports on daily activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a minimum of one year of security experience, preferably in a psychiatric or acute care hospital. OB SUMMARY:
Performs duties while maintaining good service excellence and service recovery skills at all times.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.
Education: High School Diploma. Some College or Higher Education preferred.
Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in security; psychiatric or acute care hospital experience a plus.
Licensure/Certification: PERC card preferred, CPI a plus.
Knowledge: Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to interact effectively and politely with hospital staff, visitors, doctors, etc.
Supervision Received: Director of Security.
Working Conditions: Work hazards associated with potential misconduct in surrounding areas of the Hospital. Exposure to agitated employees or guests who may exhibit violent/aggressive behavior. General hospital environment.
Physical Requirements: Ability to communicate verbally, telephonically, and in writing. Physical agility to make Hospital perimeter rounds.
