Responsibilities

• Respond to incidents calmly and notify site contacts and emergency responders.
• Conduct patrols of access points, production areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.

As a Security Guard - FLEX in Amana, IA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.16 / Hour

Job Schedule: Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Control access to the facility by verifying identification and authorization, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining entry records, and directing authorized individuals in accordance with site procedures.
• Monitor access points, alarm systems, cameras, and/or other security‑related equipment; report unusual activity, access concerns, and equipment issues according to established protocols.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, production areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
