Security Booth Attendant – Job Description

Position Title: Security Booth Attendant

Dates: July 3–July 6, 2025

Compensation: Competitive daily rate-based on experience

Role Overview:

Juvia’s Place is seeking experienced, professional, and highly alert Security Booth Attendants to support our brand activation at ESSENCE Festival 2025. As the first line of defense and support for booth operations, you will ensure the safety of staff, talent, guests, and assets during high-traffic periods. You will help maintain a welcoming yet secure environment and be a liaison between internal teams and venue security.

Key Responsibilities:

Access Control:

• Monitor entrance and exit points to ensure only authorized personnel, talent, and influencers access restricted booth areas.

Asset Protection:

• Safeguard beauty products, tech equipment, influencer kits, and personal belongings in and around the booth.

Crowd Management:

• Assist with line control, manage crowd flow, and de-escalate high-energy situations with professionalism.
• Log and report any suspicious behavior, safety incidents, or violations to both Juvia’s Place event leads and ESSENCE Festival security staff.
• Provide safe and discreet escort for influencers and special guests entering/exiting the booth space.

Emergency Response:

• Be prepared to act quickly in case of medical emergencies, fire alarms, or evacuation scenarios, following Juvia’s Place and ESSENCE Festival protocol.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years' experience in event, retail, or venue security (preferably at festivals or conventions) military/law enforcement service with transferable security skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Calm under pressure, with good judgment and conflict-resolution skills
• Physically able to stand for long periods and manage high foot traffic
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Must have a valid state-issued ID; security license a plus
• Familiarity with ESSENCE Festival environment is a bonus
