Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer - Part Time Enhanced in De Soto, KS. This role provides flexible, dependable hours with a fixed anchor shift and opportunities to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

Responsibilities include customer service, site patrols, access monitoring, incident response, and daily reporting. Candidates need 1+ year of security experience, a high school diploma, and be eligible for required screenings and licensing as applicable.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, common areas, parking facilities, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and/or potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and security-related systems as assigned; verify credentials and follow site procedures for visitor, contractor, and delivery access.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document actions taken.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports and incident reports, and communicate observed security-related concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Patrol Incident Review in De Soto, KS, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $23.68 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Sun: 06:45 AM - 03:15 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
