Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees and the public per site policies and emergency procedures.

• Conduct regular patrols of government buildings and grounds to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and report unusual conditions or maintenance needs.
• Prepare clear reports of incidents and patrol observations in line with site requirements.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, public concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of government buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas; report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations through established channels.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, patrol observations, and security‑related activities in accordance with site requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 6 months of security‑related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
