Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced for Irving, TX. This role offers flexible hours with fixed anchor shifts and opportunities to pick up additional shifts through the scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $19.63 per hour. The position includes responsibilities such as monitoring access, patrolling, incident response, and producing logs while maintaining client-facing professionalism.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen are required by policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including offices, common areas, parking facilities, building entrances, and perimeter locations, to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document actions taken according to site procedures.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site policies, and report unauthorized entry attempts or suspicious activity.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications while maintaining a professional presence and representing Allied Universal in accordance with client expectations.

As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Access Control in Irving, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.63 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeThur10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security‑related experience is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
