Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Tampa, FL. This role offers fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, providing flexibility and potential to earn more.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• A drug screen may be required.
• Licensing requirements may apply.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures and access protocols.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry according to government facility policies.
• Prepare clear reports of patrols, incidents, and unusual conditions and communicate information to leadership and site representatives.

As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol in Tampa, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur: 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to site procedures.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with established government facility policies.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, unusual conditions, and interactions, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security‑related experience.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
