• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Staff the front desk at a manufacturing and industrial location, greeting visitors, verifying access authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and directing guests according to site procedures.
• Monitor entry activity, maintain visitor and contractor records, and communicate access concerns or unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Support a professional and welcoming reception environment while helping to deter unauthorized access to the facility.

As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Front Desk in Carson, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri10:00 PM - 06:00 AMSat10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security‑related experience is required.
• Experience with access control and badge processes is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
