Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced to provide reliable, flexible security at an assigned Fernandina Beach site. The role offers anchor shifts with optional extra shifts through the scheduling platform to increase earnings.

Pay rate is $15.00 per hour, with a six-month commitment to the anchor shift and potential for growth to full-time hours. This position emphasizes customer service, access control, and incident response.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A state, county, or city-issued license for security-related work is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• A background check will be conducted as part of employment.
• Drug screening may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access control procedures and emergency responses as appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage sign-in processes, and maintain access records.
• Respond to access concerns and incidents calmly, escalating when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, parking areas, and perimeters to deter unauthorized access and identify security concerns.
• Support controlled flow of people and vehicles at the site while communicating professionally with staff and leadership.

As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Entry Control Driver in Fernandina Beach, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $15.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri: 06:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sat: 06:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sun: 06:00 PM - 12:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor and contractor sign-in processes, and maintain accurate access-related records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access concerns, incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to appropriate personnel when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, parking areas, production-support areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Support a controlled flow of people and vehicles at the industrial location while communicating professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A state, county, or city-issued license for security-related work is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
