Job summary

Allied Universal in Saint Peters, MO is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced to provide reliable security at a designated site with fixed anchor shifts and the flexibility to pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform.

The role offers $18.85 per hour with a daytime schedule (Fri 06:00 AM – 04:00 PM). Requirements include a valid driver’s license, minimum age 18, high school diploma, background check, and drug screening as applicable.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Carry out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Background investigation will be conducted in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel at a manufacturing and industrial location while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, entry points, and the facility perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and assist with compliance with site entry procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity reports and communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
