Allied Universal in Chicago, IL is seeking a Security Officer - Part Time Enhanced to provide reliable, flexible coverage at a busy site. This role offers steady hours, with the option to pick-up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

You will guard tenants and visitors, respond to incidents, monitor entrances, and uphold property policies. Pay is $19.50 per hour, with fixed shifts and opportunities to grow into a full-time schedule.

As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Driver Patrol in Chicago, IL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and/or clients by carrying out site-specific procedures, property policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required reports.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property common areas, parking areas, building entrances, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, documenting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations for follow-up.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly, professional environment by providing directions, supporting visitor procedures, and communicating clearly with property representatives and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
