Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Access Control Checkpoint in Arlington, VA.

Qualifications

• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and parking facility users while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, parking access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of parking areas, access points, pedestrian routes, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor vehicle and pedestrian activity, assist with directions and parking-related inquiries, and maintain a professional presence throughout the transportation location.
• Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Access Control Checkpoint in Arlington, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.84 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSun06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
