Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard for Energy & Utility Operations in Tempe, AZ. You will safeguard clients across industries, perform patrols, and maintain incident reports. Pay rate is $21.00 per hour.

Ideal candidates have 12+ months security experience, a valid driver’s license, and a guard card if required by Arizona DPS. Local licensing, ability to work nights, weekends, and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or 5+ years of verifiable security experience.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles; background check and drug screen per law.
• Arizona DPS guard card/licence and license requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out safety and security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter; sites vary by client.

Job Description

As a Security Guard - Energy & Utility Operations, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, Healthcare, Education, Government and more.

Pay Rate: $21.00 an hour.

The Ideal Candidate

• 12+ months of security experience.
• Arizona Drivers License for over one year - with a clean driving record
• Valid guard card/security officer license if required by Arizona DPS
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods and conduct regular patrols
• Work Outside in the Elements
• Basic ability to use computers, radios, cameras, access-control systems, and incident-reporting software
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Complete daily activity logs, incident reports, visitor records, and other required
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, overtime, or rotating shifts may be required

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
