Our next Full-time Security Guard/Driver will oversee and enforce security operations of our company, implement policies and procedures to maintain security standards. You will demonstrate excellent surveillance and emergency response skills, with a strong commitment to security rules and knowledge of hazards and safety threats. The goal is to create a safe environment for employees, visitors, and property. Additionally, as a Driver, you will be responsible for deliveries to licensed marijuana sellers, logging inventory, loading and unloading orders, and more. This position requires traveling within Maryland using a company-provided vehicle.

This position is on-site at our Hagerstown, MD facility.

Pay:

$19/hr

Environmental Factors:

• Work involves high plant matter and pollen, with areas reaching high/low temperatures and humidity. Exposure to dust, plant matter, and particles that may affect respiratory, eyes, or skin health. Protective gear is required, and eye/ear protection is optional. Some areas use harsh cleaning chemicals like bleach, with repetitive movements involved. Employees should be comfortable working under these conditions.

Physical Requirements:

• Lift/move at least 50 lbs
• Sit, stand, kneel, bend, squat, or walk for extended periods
• Use hands for handling and feeling objects
• Work with hazardous chemicals following safety guidelines
• Wear PPE and appropriate footwear

Responsibilities:

Security Role:

• Implement security policies and procedures
• Monitor property entrances and exits
• Respond to emergencies and alarms, notify law enforcement and management
• Monitor video surveillance
• Patrol premises to secure property and personnel
• Report incidents, breaches, and suspicious activities
• Investigate issues and prevent losses
• Respond promptly to alarms
• Must have an active MD Guard Card

Driver Role:

• Plan routes efficiently
• Stay updated on traffic and weather conditions
• Assist with loading/unloading orders
• Log inventory and deliveries accurately
• Schedule vehicle maintenance and report issues
• Support cultivation and processing operations when not driving
• Maintain accurate records of inventory and distribution
• Provide excellent customer service
• Follow Maryland regulations for cannabis delivery
• Adhere to company SOPs

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience in security or similar roles
• Experience with technology like CCTV
• Strong reporting and emergency response skills
• Knowledge of security protocols
• Excellent communication skills
• Reliable and committed
• High School Diploma or GED
• At least 2 years in a similar position
• Proven driving experience
• Valid Driver’s License and clean record
• Familiarity with GPS and local roads
• Ability to lift heavy packages
• Availability for occasional weekends
• Professional demeanor
• At least 21 years old
• Compliance with company regulations
• Cellphone required
• Active MD Guard Card

Additional info:

$19 per hour.
