Qualifications

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel following site policies.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry per site procedures.
• Control access to employee entrances and restricted areas; report unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Regularly patrol the premises to deter incidents and identify security concerns.

Job Description

As a Security Guard Driver Access Control in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Provide exceptional customer service, remain visible to help deter incidents, and uphold Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points at a logistics and distribution location, verify authorization for entry, and maintain visitor, contractor, and vehicle access records in accordance with site procedures.
• Control access to employee entrances, shipping and receiving areas, trailer yards, and other restricted areas; report unauthorized access attempts and irregular conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the business, perimeter, parking areas, access points, and loading areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
