Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring for a full-time security officer at a logistics and distribution site in New York. You will protect people and property by following site procedures and responding to incidents, alarms, and access-control concerns.

Responsibilities include patrolling premises, monitoring entry points, and documenting observations and incidents. Must hold NYS Security Guard License, be 18+ (21+ for armed), and pass required background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Background check required by federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

• Document observations and incidents in accordance with reporting procedures.

• Mon 03:30 PM - 11:45 PM
• Tue 03:30 PM - 11:45 PM
• Thur 03:30 PM - 11:45 PM
• Sat 04:30 AM - 10:00 AM
• Sun 04:30 PM - 09:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading docks, trailer areas, parking lots, building perimeters, and other assigned areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry for personnel and visitors, and follow site procedures for driver check-in, deliveries, and package or freight movement.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
