Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Security Guard for a full-time patrol role in Atlanta, GA. You will provide professional security coverage, monitor access, and respond to incidents at government locations, ensuring safety and compliance with post orders.

Applicants should have at least one year of armed security-related experience, a HS diploma or equivalent, and be prepared to undergo background checks and drug screening. CPR/First Aid certifications are preferred.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $21.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 10:00 AM - 08:00 PM
• Wed: 10:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Thur: 10:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Fri: 10:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Sat: 10:00 AM - 06:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned government buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and assist with visitor management and entry procedures.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, maintain required activity logs, and communicate observations and concerns to appropriate personnel and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
