Allied Universal® is seeking a Security Guard Armed Enhanced for West Palm Beach, FL. This part-time position offers fixed anchor shifts with opportunities to pick up additional shifts via our scheduling platform to increase earnings.

You will safeguard site access, monitor entry points, and respond to incidents while maintaining logs and coordination with site leadership. The role requires an armed guard card, a high school diploma or GED, 21+ years old, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Must have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security experience or a college degree.
• Armed guard card is required.
• Proof of high school diploma or GED is required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Participation in training programs as required by state/local laws.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and identification, process visitor access, and maintain logs.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly and report concerns to site leadership.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, lobbies, and surrounding areas to deter unauthorized activity.

As a Security Guard Armed Enhanced Driver in West Palm Beach, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.85 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon04:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out site‑specific access control procedures, government location policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and identification, process visitor access, and maintain accurate access logs and related documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and report security‑related concerns to site leadership according to established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated access points, lobbies, and surrounding areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and support security‑related operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security‑related experience or a college degree.
• An armed guard card is required.
• Proof of high school diploma or GED is required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security‑related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
