Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard Armed Driver Patrol in Palo Alto, CA. This full-time role involves patrolling campus, monitoring access, and responding to incidents with calm, professional handling.

You will provide exceptional customer service to employees and visitors, maintain security procedures, and generate accurate patrol reports. A valid driver’s license and armed credential are required, with at least one year of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Possess at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
• Possess a 40 caliber endorsement.
• Possess a California Weapons Permit with a 9mm caliber endorsement.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the technology-focused campus, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and report irregularities or policy violations in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities.

What You'll Do:
