Job summary

Worcester Rehabilitation & Health Care Center is hiring a part-time Security Guard to join our care team in Worcester, MA. The role involves 3p-11p shifts, 16 hours per week, with weekly pay at $17 an hour. You will conduct rounds, monitor visitors, and assist residents as needed to maintain a safe environment.

• Conduct an inventory of personal belongings on admissions and store contraband.
• Conduct hourly rounds and report safety concerns to supervisor.
• Report/document environmental concerns.
• Assist residents who need emotional support.
• Ensure visitors sign in and ID checked; conduct inventory searches.
• Monitor residents at risk and document whereabouts and activities.
• Assist staff with room searches.
• Possible 1:1 supervision for residents as assigned.

We are hiring part-time Security Guards to join our dynamic care team at Worcester Rehabilitation & Health Care Center! Weekly pay at $17 an hour. 3p-11p. Every other Monday and every other Friday. 16 hours a week.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or its equivalent.
• Security experience.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Conduct an inventory of personal belongings on all admissions and safely remove and store any contraband.
• Conduct and document, as a minimum, hourly rounds of the entire facility and its grounds, and immediately report any safety concerns to the supervisor.
• Report/document environmental concerns.
• Be present and assist, if needed, if and when a resident may be struggling to manage emotions.
• Ensure visitors sign in, show identification, and conduct an inventory search.
• Conduct frequent checks with residents deemed as risk, including physically viewing residents’ whereabouts and documentation of where they are, what they are doing, and who, if anyone, they are with.
• Assist staff with room searches.
• May be assigned to a resident on a 1:1 basis for a determined period of time, including direct supervision at all times.
